This chapter explores fundamental change frameworks and discusses how to manage and implement change. Previous chapters have discussed the influence of the external enviroment on organizations; here we focus on the internal processes and strategies organizations use to adapt and improve performance capacity. Our intent is not to be prescriptive, but to provide an overview of the basic principles that underlie the change process and the problems that can rise.
