2. SUMMARY:
Autistic Disorder is a global developmental disorder that begins in childhood, mostly in the
first three years of life, affects almost all psychic functions and lasts for a lifetime. It is
characterized by the damaging of a number of developmental areas: social interaction and
communication, reporting stereotypical forms of behavior, interest or activity. Such a pattern
of behavior affects the ability to satisfy basic human needs as well as the overall quality of
life.
It is of utmost importance that early diagnosis and diagnosis are identified in order for the
child to get involved in the system of regular and continuous rehabilitation and education.
Daily care is required which implies encouraging the normal development of the child in all
areas of life, the promotion of independence and socialization, as well as the suppression of
undesirable forms of behavior. An important part of this is the whole team of experts,
defectologists, speech therapists, pedagogues and psychologists, and psychiatrists for children
and adolescents. Integration movements have increased the chances of people with special
needs to participate in the activities of the community.
It has been proven that it is best to integrate a child as early as possible into the community so
that the relationship between children with special needs and other children is as productive as
possible. Integration is a sure way against the stigmatization of people with special needs.
A nurse as a member of a multidisciplinary team participates in helping people and their
families face the developmental disorder by ensuring them the best possible quality of life.
Hemiplegia is the state of complete loss of neuromuscular functions on one side of the body
caused by damage to the opposite side of the brain.
The training of patients with hemiplegia begins 48 hours after the onset of hemiplegia.
