I N T R O D U C T I O N

Una-Sana region is one of the teritories of Bosanska Krajina.Bosansk Krajina (pronounced [bɔ̌sanskaː krâjina]) or Bosnian Frontier is a geographical region, a subregion of Bosnia, in western Bosnia and Herzegovina enclosed by three rivers -Sava, Una and Vrbas. It is also a historic, economic and cultural entity of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The largest city, and its historical center, is Banja Luka. Other cities include:Laktaši,Čelinac Skender Vakuf, Kotor Varoš, Bosanska Gradiška, Bosanska Dubica, Bosanski Novi ,Prijedor, Sanski Most, Bosanski Petrovac, Ključ, Šipovo, Mrkonjić Grad, Drvar,Glamoč, Bosansko Grahovo, Jajce, Bihać, Bosanska Krupa, Cazin, Bužim, and Velika Kladuša.
Bosanska Krajina has no political borders or political representation in the structure of Bosnia and Herzegovina; however it has a significant cultural and historical identity that was formed through several historic and economic events. The territory of Bosanska Krajina is currently divided between two entities of Bosnia and Herzegovina: Republika Srpska and the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Una – Sana region is on the north west of Bosnia and also of Bosanska Krajina and it is very attractive space of Bosnia.It is becouse of close to the Croatian sea coast,close to the bigger cities in croatia and important roads which are connection with Europe Union states.

 

 
FUNDAMENTALS ABOUT SANSKI MOST CITY AND SANA REGION
POLITIC- GEOGRAPHY POSITION

Canton is located in the northwestern part of Bosnia and Herzegovina, based in Bihac. Canton Area is 4.125.0 km ², which makes 15.79% of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina
Canton has a very favorable geographic location, because it takes up space in the direction of the main corridor Western Europe – Mediterranean – Middle East. It is extremely well-connected communication with the Republic of Croatian, and thus the other countries of Europe. The shortest way to the mainland ports and major centers (Split, Sibenik, Zadar, Rijeka (city)) leads over Bihac and Bosanski Petrovac. Calculated line was tied in Split, Zadar and Sibenik to Zagreb. Rail and highway (330 km) Una – Sana is connected with Sarajevo and other parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The morphological structure of the area are low hills and fields, alluvial plains and valleys, broken numerous river and stream valleys. This area is under the influence of moderate – continental climate. In the canton have built 468.4 kilometers of regional roads, of which
305 km are unpaved, and 344 km of main roads (290 km of asphalt). Calculated stripe (Bosanski Novi – Bihac – Knin), a distance of 178 km, before the war was the most cost effective way of transporting goods and passengers in a north – south direction. Today is for the transport of goods and passengers by qualified part of the railroad route Blatna-Martin Brod. In this area we have two air traffic facility: a military airport “Zeljava”, on the border with the Republic of Croatian, before the war was very modern with all the technical characteristics, and during the war was badly damaged and all the navigation equipment was looted, and the airport “Ćoralići ‘, with a gravel runway length of 1200 m and other facilities.
